What is Pediatric Vision Care?

Comprehensive eye examinations are a vital part of pediatric health care regardless of how a child is seeing or functioning.

The AOA InfantSee Program offers no-cost screening exams for kids between the ages of 6 and 12 months. At this visit, the doctor can evaluate for risk factors for development of amblyopia, as well as other ocular health conditions which may be less detrimental to visual development if detected and managed early.

Routine exams are important to monitor for changes in the visual function and ocular health of children after the initial InfantSee screening visit.
